In a bathroom, in Forks......

First, I got this from Mary Helen over on her Forks WA blog. Thank you Mary Helen!!!

The In The Bathroom At Forks one is the only one I looked at yet. But it's a hoot.

Have to look at the other two, which Mary Helen links to, in that entry of hers. Later, that is.

And yes, I'm behind in commenting in 'Twilight' blogs. I'm behind in everything it seems. No post of my own, on 'Breaking Dawn' either... with Spoilers of course.

Is there any news of when we might expect "Midnight Sun" to be finished and out? If everyone but me, knows the answer to this one... well, what can I say? I already said I'm behind on everything. -sigh- But if you know, please tell me in a comment. And if you can leave me a link to a site, which tells this, please and thank you for that too.

Was 'Twilight Lexicon' HACKED???

I got an email, supposedly via 'Twilight Lexicon,' saying my site had been hacked.

Tried to report it to 'Twilight Lexicon.'

Whole 'Twilight Lexicon' site is down.

I think the whole site was hit by a hacking try.

:-(((((((((((((((

This rots, doesn't it??????

Surprised!!! [NO Spoilers]

Finally joined and got to read some "BD" Message Boards on Twilight Lexicon site. Wow! I was surprised at the negative feedback.

Sure, we all have our right to our own views on a book. To see it as complying with our wishes or not.

But my over all view is ~~ Stephenie wrote the series. Not I. She has the right to tie it up, as she wished to. Not as I wished it to play out, in the final book.

So I read the 'Like it' or 'Not' messages. Now it's time to do what I really want to do... To see how different readers viewed different specifics in the book. Did they see things, as I saw them? Were they shocked at this or that? Were they drawn around to liking this or that, which they may not have liked, at first blush? Etc.

Basically, I have no need to argue about anything. All I want is fun discussion. Hope I can find it....

After finishing stress...?

The morning after finishing a marathon reading of "Breaking Dawn"...

I'm bitchy. 'Alice' just got here and she's bitchy. She's on her way to her summer job now... Hope it clears up later. Have not yet seen 'Victoria' but she will be over. Wondering if she will be the same?

Is this something connected with having finished a long awaited book and series of books???

Like PTS. Only I'd call this PFS... Post Finishing Stress.

No, I am not diminishing real PTS, by saying this. I've seen it with my own eyes and PTS is nothing to joke about. But I'm really wondering... Has anyone else been "in a mood" after finishing our long awaited book?

No Spoilers ~~ I finished!!!

At 20 minutes to 10PM EDT, I finished "Breaking Dawn"!

And I had to come on line and tell my Coven, that I did! :-))))

Me, who rarely reads fiction. Who usually reads non-fiction. I finished 4 books in a series, the last one being 754 pages long!

This in itself, has to be a testament to Stephenie's writing. :-)

~~~~~~
Btw, that's the glass I drink water from, all day long. Cool, hu?
:-)
~~~~~~

NO SPOILERS! Up to page...

Up to Pg. 502.

Ohmyghowwwwwdddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Alice" and "Victoria" are ahead of me and by this minute, may be finished. Have not talked with them today as yet.

Off to read again. But I'm not staying up till 1:30am anymore. I put book down, at a reasonable hour. :-)

I know, I am wayyyyy slow compared to many. But, I'll get there. :-)

NEED to finish...

I need to finish 'Breaking Dawn.'

Can't take these 2AM going-to-sleep times. :-( Especially when have to be up for morning appointment, next day.

Need nap now, before getting back to reading...

-sigh-

Sunday, August 3, 2008

Need "Spoiler Rules" here...

Need "Spoiler Rules" here.

Need them, everywhere.

I will state "SPOILER" loud and clear, in my Title Line, if I post any "Spoilers" along the way of reading the book.

I'm a slow-read, so I've only read 74 pages.

There are no "Spoilers" here, in keeping with my own
"Spoiler Rules". :-) So no need for any "SPOILER", in this Title Line.

What is everyone else doing? Both about how fast you're reading it? And what you plan on doing, about "Spoilers" posted?

Hope we all have some sort of plan. Or I'll be afraid to read anything, anywhere about 'Breaking Dawn.' Until I finish it.

The morning after... :-))))

I was exhausted by the time I got home last night! But Grands had a good time.

"Victoria's" Mom {our Daughter} brought us down and dropped us off, at the store. Our local Border's didn't have a lot of stuff going on, which is too bad. And it wasn't a "full house" of 'Twilight' fans. But as the time-till-midnight counted down, the store began to fill up. And the line was lonnnnnnnnnnnnng.

"Alice" and "Victoria" had gotten pretty near to the front of the line. I'd been "there" but "not there"... Not hovering by them, of course! But, in the store. When the line formed, I found a vacant comfy reading chair. No reading. Just kind of tried to "sleep with my eyes open." -grin-

A little before midnight, Son and his Wife {she who had the "burning question"} ,-) came in. They had planned on picking us up. And they were "all dudded-up," from having attended a fancy dinner-dance-party. She, looking striking in long black dress and He looking striking in tux.

So, our Border's had lots of young people, some in various forms of Vampire dress up... And parents waiting for their kids to get their books... And one couple, very dressed up. Bet that beat a lot of "Breaking Dawn" book gatherings. :-)

The Grands both slept here last night. They read one chapter, before going to sleep. "Alice" had to get up early and go to her summer job... selling "The Pink Sheet" at the thoroughbred track. But they both got up, at the same time.

It was a total memory made. And it doesn't get much better than that. :-)

Gettin' ready for the PAR-TAY!!!

My teen Grands are having so much fun, planning their "look" for the Border's PAR-TAY tomorrow night. The are planning on going as "Vampire Girls." Not necessarily, as cast members.

One is dark haired and one is a red head. So at first, we thought "Bella" and "Victoria." But human "Bella" is so plain. And the red head was gonna' have a not-plain-Vampire look. So we ditched the first idea.

I had visions of making "Victoria's" hair really wild and adding some leaves to it, like she/Victoria came out of the woods... and she needed a "pelt" around her. But, saner minds prevailed and I dropped that total plan. lol.

So now, the redhead will be a not-so-wild-looking 'Victoria' and the dark haired one will be a kind-of 'Alice.' Our 'Alice's' hair is long, so it can't be like the 'Alice' wig in the movie. But if it's up in a 'easy bun/ponytail', the hair ends can be waxed to spike out! At least, that's our plan.

Yesterday they were both here and so 'Alice' curled 'Victoria's' hair!

The we went to the Mall and got makeup... for the 'Vampire Look.' Palest face makeup we could find ~ Target Red lipstick ~ eye make up for each.

Came home and they got made up. Wheeee!!! We went next door and showed my daughter-in-law {the one with the 'burning question'}. Their little cousins saw them first and... well, you can imagine the reaction of an 8 year old and a 3 year old boys! To made-up-like-Vampire cousins! LOL.

Above is 'Victoria' from the front.

But............

We have a Family Policy ~~ NO recognizable pictures of any of the Grandchildren, are put on the Net. We fear the weirdos out there, on the World Wide Net. Yes, most people are normal and nice people. But there ARE weirdos. And we long ago, made the decision, to never show recognizable pictures of kids/grand kids on the Net.

Which will be a terrrrrrrrrrrrrible predicament for me, tomorrow night. 'Cause I've already seen them made up, and they are gorgeously spectacular. :-) But.. the full effect will simply not be able to be put in blogs.

Bella's Truck is in Forks!!!

Mary Helen read that Bella's truck is in Forks, WA.

So she {click-->} got pictures of it.

Please go and tell her that we LUV her, for so doing.

Or maybe, tell her that we LUV her husband. 'Cause she sent him, to go take the pic of it!!!

We LUV you, 'Mr. Mary Helen'!

^_^

My daughter-in-law has a burning question...

My daughter-in-law has a burning question...

And I do mean burning. >,-)

She is driving me crazy, wanting to know if vampires can be intimate. {Is that a delicately enough stated question, for a family blog???}

See, she is torn between the idea of life with warm and human {most of the time} Jacob, and life with never warm and human Edward. This conundrum is driving her 'up the wall.' And she is taking me 'up the wall,' with her. {And when she reads this, she will come over and *kill* me, but that's a story for another day}

I say that when Bella asked Edward about Emmet and Rosalie being 'married,' that his {delicately put} answer was, that they really, really are married folks. But d-i-law didn't read it that way. Phulllllleeeeeeeeeeze everyone, tell me how you read it!?! Please... Please... Please.....

Because, Granddaughter and I are in the "Bella Must End Up With Edward" camp. And I fear that my d-i-law is coming close to being in the
"Bella Must End Up With Jacob" camp. Quelle horreur! Division in the family! This can not be!

Please, someone back me up... Tell me that you agree with me... That though Vampires are collllllllllllllllllllllld, they can still get hot.

'Twilight' at Comic-Con

Looks like they/we did it. Voted enough, to get early footage of 'Twilight' at Comic-Con.

I {naturally} wasn't going to attend. But saw a request to vote for 'Twilight' early footage to be shown at Comic-Con. So I, and a lot of others voted...

And look... click-->'Twilight' fans camp out for a peek (and a scream).

But...

Ahemm...

NEW 'TWILIGHT' TEASER!!!

Click on --> Twilight Lexicon, Stephenie's Official Fan Site!!!

It wouldn't load quickly for my Grand, so I had her run over through the back yard, to see it. She did.

~~~
Then we both went next door and *captured* my Daughter-in-law and brought her over here, to watch it too. -grin- My poor husband is trying to watch a tv show, and we keep running in and out the back door, in front of him.
But he loves it, of course. -grin-
"BD" Side Bar thingy...
...~~~...~~~...~~~...~~~...~~~...~~~...~~~...
Yes, I made my own Side Bar thing for 'Breaking Dawn.' To be perfectly frank, the wildly changing widgets are not fun for me to see. Maybe it's my eyes but... they drive me batty. -giggles- So, I didn't grab any, which mmoovvvve. >,-)
-drum roll please-
I would like to announce two more converts to 'Twilight'! My d-i-law and my Net pal Sandi. Wheeee... :-))))
And I put my own
'Breaking Dawn' thing, on my 'Smilnsigh' blog Side Bar also.
EW cover
Yikes! I finally saw the 'EW' cover...
Yikes!
I really don't like to seem grumpy, all the time, in this blog. Suppose I should just be thrilled that Stephenie's books/film are so well known now, that there is a cover on 'EW.' I suppose. But, ding-it, I am not totally thrilled with this cover. -pout-
Is this the Bella, of Twilight...? The first book?
Did whoever directed this photo shoot, ever read the book?
Does Edward have larger red lips, than she does?
If he went around like this all the time, would no one notice?
OK, Kristin looks fabulous. But this is not the Bella of the Twilight book... Probably it's the Bella, after she becomes a vampire. If and when that ever happens. ,-) But... Can you imagine someone going into the first film, and expecting _this_ Bella? -giggles-
And just call me old if you want to.... But... The way they have Edward portrayed on this cover, does not work for me. If you get my drift... Be that as it may, I know perfectly well that _I_ am not the main age market for any of this stuff. So how can I judge the effect of this cover? All this is just IMHO. :-)
Feel free to point out, how off base I am, in any way! To each her own, as far as how any magazine cover strikes us. That's for sure.
:-)
Soooooooooooooooooon...
The countdown begins
Are we getting excited yet??? ^_^
But since I'm soooooooooo afraid of being 'spoiled,' I am not going to go to any of the *zillions* of Twilight fandom sites... Except! For the one linked to above... The Official Website of Stephenie Meyer. I'm sure the other fan sites do not want to have any 'spoilers' sneak in. But... Just to be on the safe side, I'm sticking to only Stephanie's site.
-Wonder if I'm alone in this?
-Wonder what everyone else is doing, to avoid being 'spoiled'?
-Wonder if people are planning on reading it quickly, to avoid being inadvertently 'spoiled'? {Then read it again, slowwwwwwly}
-Of if they are still going to read it slowly, and savour it, first time?
-And maybe hole up in a cave somewhere, until they do finish it?
^_^
My Granddaughter who lives near by... Her mom has a copy reserved for her, at the local Border's Book Store. But I don't think she/her mom will be taking her down, for midnight. Guess who? Will be? If 'guess who' can stay awake that long, to drive us down. >,-) I'd better bring a folding chair. I'll get tired in line. ,-)
^_^
Suppose this midnight run, will be a dry run for the midnight run to the mall theater, for the film, in December.
^_^
'The Host' NO SPOILERS
Won't tell anything about the plot of 'The Host.' Just that it's nothing like Stephenie's first books in the 'Twilight' series. But though very different, she still keeps your attention. You want to know what twist the plot will take next.
So even though I didn't fall in love with this book, like I did with the 'Twilight' series ~ I'd still say.... Read 'The Host' for yourself.
MTV Movie Awards
Oh my... Couldn't she have put a tiny bit more thought/effort into what she wore to this awards show?
And at least, Kristen is sort of smiling in this picture.
But Rob hasn't caught on to the idea of .... looking like the event is at least tolerable. Maybe if he did, he'd have had his NAME mentioned in the caption under the pic... Here is all it says;
"
Kristen Stewart at the MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, CA - 06/01/2008"
OUCH!
And the guy she was with???????????
Try flashing that great smile you have, Rob...
Another 'Twilighter'!!!
Yeaaaaaaaaaa! Just met another 'Twilighter,' via a comment she left, on my last entry. Hi to 'Ms. Hays' of Poplar Bluff Area Daily blog. I'll add her blog link to my Sidebar, if it's ok with her. :-)
~~~

I love meeting regular 'Twilight' fans. There are *zillions* of more-official 'Twilight' sites/blogs on the Net. They are great. But it's also fun to meet regular people, so to speak. Who love to chat about "our obsession." :-)

~~~
And btw, I finished 'The Host.' And the "spoiling" {click here} didn't fully "spoil" it for me. I was kind of pouty, when that "spoiling" happened. -sigh- And I didn't pick the book right back up again. And was thinking if I'd just sort of skip on, through the little I had left, to read. Because I was mad and grumpy and whiny, about "being spoiled." -silly grin-
~~~

I picked the book back up, planning on skimming ahead.
But.....

It grabbed me right back into the twists and turns of the story! Stephenie is good!!! Her writing keeps grabbing you, and making you not-skip and keeps you glued to the book. :-) I was again 'burning the midnight oil,' to really finish it.

~~~
And now, I'd so love to find places to chat about 'The Host.' Net places where no one will be "spoiled" by such chatting. Places for only people who have read the whole book. But so far, I haven't found any. If you do, please give me links to places you find. Please and thank you.
Really great posting, and spoiler safe!
Photo Source, article linked below
'Twilight Series Theories' has a great entry, and it's spoiler-safe. :-)
'It will truly be a breaking dawn' has some awesome ideas concerning the 'why' of the date, for the release of 'Breaking Dawn.' Really, really coooool!!!
Please click on the red words above, and go read it for yourself. I think you'll agree, that it's soooo nice.
WARNING!!! Spoiler!!!
Warning!!!
I was just skimming the Twilight Lexicon site. Since skimming is all I have time for, right now. I did not see the line, that there was a 'spoiler' involved in the Q & A of the 'This Just In' entry. And so.... I read first Q & A, and a HUGE CHUNK of the PLOT LINE of "THE HOST" was revealed!!! -sigh-
.
And I am not the only one who was inadvertently spoiled, and is upset. Others have commented, the same way.
.
So I requested that from now on ~ all entries there, which contain spoilers for recently released books, have a big "SPOILER HERE" right up in the Entry Title. Not wait till a line in the entry itself, to warn people. Then, if we get spoiled, it will be our own fault, and only our own fault.
.
I am going to take my time reading "Breaking Dawn," when it comes out. And I don't want to be spoiled, for that!!!! Eeeek no! So, I guess... If I really don't want to be spoiled for
"Breaking Dawn," I'd better not read any sites. Yup, best idea, that.
.
Anyway, if you intend to read "The Host," watch out you don't get spoiled, on any sites. Before hand.. -sigh-
~~~

New stuff... And busy

Well, I'm behind in reading Twilight sites, but I do think this site is grrrrrrrrreat... Please click on the red words... L.A. Times Backlot site. Wow! These shots are awesome! I can't stand heights, so I'm very impressed with what these actors did!
~~**~~
I've been absent from 'Blog Land,' because "Real Life" caught up with me. ,-) We have Spring projects still waiting to be done around here. And if we didn't get going on them, it would have been Summer soon!!! So ~ I had to 'bite the bullet' and not spend as much time on the computer!
~~**~~
-sigh- -moan- -whine- -sob- -whimper-
~~**~~
Isn't it weird how we can get so used to too much "Net Life"?!?
~~**~~
I know... Being older and all, I have a lot more of my own time, to do things, than you young-married-with-children gals do. But even with me! "Real Life" catches up sometimes and I have to doooooooooooooo stuff. Like put up drapes we got, weeks ago. And clean out a room, where everything gets dropped. One of those 'Black holes.' :-(
~~**~~
I doubt I'm alone. Most everyone has someplace where stuff gets "put-for-a-while." Then we shut the door and the months go by. lol. Please, tell me I'm not the only one who has such, in her house?!?!?!? ,-)
~~**~~
Wish me luck, to continue my projects! :-)

Lots of info, to be found, on Twilight sites!

The Twilight Lexicon is reporting a new photo spot!

And place to vote for having Twilight author, director and cast, on The Oprah Show.

Annnnd Twilight Moms site has links to articles too. But! Watch out! One of them is not a rave. Interesting though. And mention of "where is the ice?" was something that I'd wondered... Please click here and tell me what you think.

And let's face it ~ Not everything we read, will be hippity-happy. We should get used to it.

Question...!

Twilight Series The Theories has a great question today. {Click here} The question they ask, has to do with shooting 'Twilight' sequels simultaneously. Seems that MTV News has said it's been discussed. {Click here} Interesting question...

There is the issue of actors getting older. That was OK, with the HP sequels, because the people in Harry Potter were supposed to age a bit. But not so, with vampires. Hmmmm....

But then, many of the cast, are already actually older, than they are playing. Bella being the "youngest looking." And if she becomes a vampire soon... And we all will *split a gut* if she doesn't, won't we???????????? >,-) She will be beeeeeeeutiful and can 'look' older.

So, does the age thing matter?

Would simultaneous shooting be a bit too much? To do justice to each of the books?

Where do you come down on this question?

~~:-:*:-:~~

One quarter through 'The Host'

~~Click here for photos~~

~~~***~~~
"The Host" {click here} is called "science fiction for people who don't like science fiction." :-) Well, that's me.
It grabs you. I've read 150 of the 600 pages, which is 1/4 of the book, and I am not a fast read. So you can see that it grabbed me.
It's NOTHING like the 'Twilight' series though! {click here} So if you are thinking of dipping into Stephenie's books, I'd still suggest you begin with 'Twilight."
Since I stayed up way too late last night, and could not sleep in, this morning... Which is my way, because I'm not a morning sleeper. And I read more this morning! I'll probably crash soon.--->One of the perks of being older and retired! ,-) And I have to be perky for a home Softball game later. Oldest Granddaughter is pitching yet again. :-)))
Decisions... And another!
Oh Oh! The library has a copy of 'The Host' for me, already!!! Eeeeeek! I didn't think I'd get it, this quickly, on a library hold.
Now what do I do? I thought I didn't want to read it yet. While still into the Twilight saga. But.........
Now............
They have it sitting right there on a shelf, waiting for me.......
Oh sigh.......... Decisions.... Decisions.... Decisions... -grin-
~~**~~**~~
Another blogger tells me that she is addicted to the Twilight saga, too!!! So I added her blog link, to those on my Sidebar. She is Betty at She'sSewPretty. Betty commented here, in my 'Another Twilighter' entry;
"
My 13 year old niece got me hooked on the twilight books. Her younger sister and every single one of their friends are hooked and now I've got my daughter hooked. She and I are big fans of Jacob. I screamed like a little girl when my niece had her mom buy me the twilight series for my birthday."
Yes M'am! She's addicted! :-))))
Interview with the screenwriter
The Twilight Lexicon has an interview with the 'Twilight' film screenwriter, Melissa Rosenberg. Very enjoyable. I especially liked her personal message to the fans. Which addresses an issue I've wondered about... How will the film differ from the book?
Basically she says... that she's a huge fan of the books. {Good.}
~*~
All who worked on the film, tried to stay true to Stephenie's vision. {Good.}
~*~
When we each read a book, we form a clear vision of it. But each person's perspective is different. {Of course.}
~*~
Hopefully, the film will fulfill or expand on everyone's perspective. {Hope so!}
~*~
She hopes viewers will stay open. {I hope so too!}
~*~
It may be different, from what we each imagined... {Of course.}
~*~
She recommends surrender. {I think that's so cute!}
~*~
And I think it sounds like the best way to enjoy the film. To walk into the film, not having to have
everything to be just as we imagined. Not expecting everything to be just as we imagined. And to just surrender to enjoyment of the way all who created it, and all who worked on it... the way they brought it to the screen, for us. I hope I can.
How about you? Actually, this is a whole other entry.... So I won't ask the question yet. :-)
Another Twilighter...
I knew my D-i-law was reading 'Twilight.' But, didn't know how she was liking it. We were at Granddaughter's softball game today... {They are undefeated and her pitching is great, btw} Anyway, I'd previously told D-i-law that I had stayed up till like 3am, reading some of the Twilight saga books. So re-reading them, as I'm doing, is a very good idea for me.
~~~

Well, today at the game, she {D-i-law} told me {without my asking} that she is staying up way too late at night, reading 'Twilight.' :-))) And said she probably has dark circles under her eyes. -grin- Sooooo... Not only is there another reader in my family.... There is another addicted reader in my family. :-)
~~~
Other D-i-law... Watch out! We are all coming for you now. And our numbers have now swollen to 4. :-)))))))))
~~~
.

Annnnd, is Robert 'pulling our leg'???

First... I just ordered a new/used copy of "Doomed Love" by Virgil. Why?
Because Robert Pattinson gave Kristen Stewart a copy of it, to read. To prepare for the film. They also watched "Last Tango In Paris" but I don't exactly 'get' that, in regard to the Twilight love story. ???

From the interview ~ Here's what they said:

MTV: Edward and Bella are an iconic love story for a whole generation. How do two actors meet, and then begin building a chemistry that the whole film will depend on? Any favorite movies, authors, books that helped you bond?

Kristen Stewart: Yeah, "Last Tango in Paris."

Pattinson: That's kind of what we're basing the entire [Edward and Bella] relationship on, in a lot of ways.
~~~
Is he just being wise-ass? What does the *old chestnut* "LTiP," have to do with Twilight?
The following is from a review of the "LTiP" film... "
Their purely carnal relationship must remain anonymous, emotionless, and exist only within the walls of the apartment, which Paul rents for this purpose."
How in holy hell is the Twilight love story, like this??!!??
Methinks Robert was pulling the leg of MTV interviewer.
What think you? Do you see any purpose in using "LTiP," for help with playing Twilight?
Twilight on "The Leaky Cauldron"
Yes, even The Leaky Cauldron site has a Twilight article! :-) You can find it, by clicking on the red... In the News. It's titled 'Robert Pattinson, "Twilight" Film News Round Up.'
I just printed it out for my Grand. And ~~ She is happy ~~ To put it mildly ~~ ^_^
More ~~ I'm obsessed!
More of "I'm obsessed"...
Above... My desktop wallpaper... {And you can click on any pic, to enlarge it}
My thermal coffee cup... The way the dishwasher has 'mottled' it...
So what, you ask? Wellllll, it caught my eye because it looks something like one of the headers on a Twilight site... Sort of like a modern art version of 'the forest'! Ok, Ok, I'm stretching. But, I think it sort of does. And it will always look like that, to me, from now on. ,-)
Our old truck. I know! It's blue and not red but... So bite me. >,-)
It is a real live 1950 Chevy truck! My husband's pride and joy! He's done so much restoration work on it, and has lots more to do, inside.
And it does make enough noise to 'wake the dead,' when he turns it on! -grinnnnnn- And I didn't used to really enjoy riding in it. But now, I do!!!
Nope, never tried to drive it. Even though I've known how to drive a stick shift, since I was 16 and got my driver's license. "Back at the beginning of time." ,-)
Maybe I will try driving it now... Hey, if Bella can, I can!
Mini rant...
I may be the only one, but I don't want to be spoiled!!!
I don't want to know any more about 'The Host,' than I've already seen.
I don't want to know every little thing about the movie of 'Twilight,' either. Well, I suppose that is like wishing for the impossible. We keep eating up any tidbits that come out, about the film so.... I should drop that 'want.' ,-)
But I do not want to know any details, about 'Breaking Dawn' either. -sighhhhh-
So, that's my mini rant. My personal choice is to read a book and see a film, without knowing stuff ahead of time. And it's only mine! No one has to agree with me. Everyone can deal with these things, in their own way. Just me. I don't want to be spoiled. :-))))
You know you're obsessed with Twiligh when...
You know you're obsessed with Twilight when...
When you try to draw a floor plan of Charlie's house.... {only downstairs, so far}.
And take/post pictures of it, trying to show your *project.*
^_^
But.... how many chairs are in the {handkerchief sized} Family Room???
~~Click on photos, to enlarge~~
.
~~UPDATE:~~
Phooie, the sink is not in front of a kitchen window. Read last night {re-reading 'Twilight'} that Bella asked someone to get something "out of the cabinet that's over the sink". Harumph... So, I have to revise the kitchen layout. Actually, I'll probably have to re-read all 3 books, with a particular eye out, as to any house descriptions, which pop up. Then and only then, can I get it right. Well, as right as I can.
Wonder if the person in charge of composing sets on the film, was as careful as I'm being? -grin-
I repeat, I am not obsessed. >,-)
Edward's real reason...???
Picture Source
What was Edward's reason, when he "broke Bella's rules," by sending a wedding invitation and a private note, to Jacob?
.
Was he just doing what he said he was doing.... Giving Jacob the chance he/Edward would want, if the situation was reversed...? Giving Jacob the chance to attend or to not attend, the wedding?
.
I think we each have our own opinion of Edward's motive... I do. Do you? ,-)
Favorite...
I was replying to a comment and it made me think of a possible entry idea... {Thank you "mykalee"!} Who is our favorite vampire, after Edward? "Mykalee" loves Alice and I do too. She is written as such a vibrant character, in the story line. She kind of bounces. And loves to throw a party for Bella, any chance she gets. And Alice loves to dress Bella up and etc. :-) So cute.
~~~

Stephenie didn't write the character of Bella, as a typical teen. As being into fashion and kind of flighty and etc. Bella is very mature, most of the time. {We'd not want her to be mature all the time though, now would we? -grin-} And this was a good plan, on the author's part I think. This simple choice, makes the 'Twilight' series more accessible to more age groups, than just teens. It has opened the pull of the books, to young marrieds, and to a Grandmother, even. ,-) And who knows how many different so-called age groups, it's appealing to? {I'd love to know this, but... How to find out?}
~~~
But, typically, I digress. That {how many diff age groups does the 'Twilight' series appeal to?} is a whole topic in itself, isn't it? So back to our favorite vampire... Who is your favorite, after Edward? And I suppose, the next question would be, and why?
~~~

No, this isn't like a test! LOL. Just a fun discussion/chat/whatever you want to call it. Which can be a fun part of blogging. Chatting about a topic, in comments. :-)

Alice's Car...

This is Alice's car, isn't it? Not too hard to take... >,-)

Wow!!! Comments!!!

Wow!!! I got a couple of comments! How exciting is that, hu? Because no matter why we blog, we all love to get comments.

~~~
And a word on why I have Comment Verification on all my blogs... I get the kind of SPAM-virus stuff, that's not stopped by Word Verification. {Which btw, has gotten so hard to figure out, that even humans are having a hard time with the squiggely letters} I get the SPAM comments, that aren't done by bots. And Word Verification doesn't stop them.
~~~

They are a comment... which is short and doesn't have anything to do with the entry... Just a line like maybe; "Look here please." Containing a click-able link... To c-r-a-p. And probably installing some virus in your hard drive, when clicked on. I'm on a Mac and so far, can't get caught. But most people are on Pc's and so... most of my readers could get caught by clicking on such links, in comments.

~~~
So.... I have only Comment Verification. Since I'm on line a lot, I can keep up with vetting comments and keeping them being published. And that's my story... :-)
~~~~~~

Keeping bold ~ Dropping italics

Yeah, I'm getting rid of the italics, in what I've already posted. I love the look of italics. Kind of more fancy, which reminds me of Edward's writing... ,-)

~~~
But I think it's harder to read, than regular font. Soooo... I'll go chance all of it.
-le sigh-
~~~~~~

Filming in Kalama...

I have a link below, to an article about filming in Kalama. The article says that the site has a more urban look, compared to the actual Forks locations used by author Stephenie Mayer in her best-selling "Twilight" series.

~~~
Can't say I'm thrilled with this fact... :-(
~~~

And the article says that the choice of location was influenced by a package of financial incentives offered by the state of Oregon. :-( Typical... Same old, same old. Follow the money.

~~~
You can read the whole article, by clickin on this click-able link. Btw, all my click-able links will show up in Red.
Gray whales arrive at LaPush
Recently, a pod of gray whales arrived at LaPush. And you can see a picture of them frolicking in the surf, by clicking on this link. And scrolling down to the entry. You'll see the entry title and the photo.
The "Why" of this blog...
Who am I and why have I begun this blog?
~~~

I'm a relatively 'new-born-Twilighter.' I saw the book mentioned on the Net somewhere, and got it out of the library. And was hooked. Then I found out that one of my teenage Grands, was also. About the time I was reading the third in the series so far, another of my teen Grands discovered 'Twilight.' And she is still a truly 'new-born Twilighter,' with all that entails. {If you are a 'Twilighter,' you know what that entails. -grin-}

~~~
I've been gathering {in my Fav. Sites folder} a list of sites, related to Stephenie's books, and the film being made. And I know there are lots of sites out there. I know. I know. But just maybe, this is the only one put up by a Grandmother. -grin-
~~~

So ~ I guess that's the "why" of this blog. :-)

~~~
That... And just plain for fun!
Testing... Testing...
Georgia font...
I like the Georgia font, in bold and in italics.
But the Georgia font, in bold, may be more readable, without the italics...
